Halloween weekend in London: Hamlet Hail to the Thief opens at the Barbican, Duran Duran play The O2, Kew's Halloween trail and Frieze Sculpture end Sunday.

Halloween falls on a Saturday this year. This is a short, dated list for the weekend of 31 October and 1 November, written on Friday 30 October. Every item below appears in at least two of the sources at the foot of the page, one of them the venue or organiser where it could be read; anything we could only find in one place was left out. Times and availability move, so check the venue before you travel. For the ten days to 8 November, see London culture this weekend and next week.
