An infinity cove is a curved corner with no seam in it, so the background falls away and the subject sits in nothing. We have two, and they are not interchangeable — one is white and big enough to drive into, the other takes colour and holds sound.

How it works

  1. 01Decide what the background has to doSeamless white, pure black or a colour wash. White and black are Studio A; colour is Studio B's cyc.
  2. 02Check the size of what stands on itAnything arriving on wheels or built on site goes in Studio A, whose cove is drive-in. Cove dimensions are on request — tell us the largest item and we will confirm it fits before you book.
  3. 03Book the blockBoth rooms run in 2 hour, half day and full day blocks. Studio A is from £160, Studio B from £120, and set-up and pack-down sit inside your booked time.
  4. 04Sort the lightingA cove is only as good as what you point at it, and lights are quoted separately — please enquire about our lights and we will quote for the look you are after.

What does infinity cove studio hire london cost at Scope?
Studio A starts at £160. Studio B starts at £120. Set-up and pack-down are inside your booked time.
What is the difference between your two infinity coves?
Studio A's cove is white and drive-in, in 1,200 sq ft with full blackout curtains — the one for scale, vehicles and set builds. Studio B's is a colour-washable cyclorama in a sound-treated room within a room, with an adjustable backdrop system — the one for colour, portraits and anything where clean sound matters as much as the background.
Which cove should I book for my shoot?
If the subject is large, arrives on wheels or needs seamless white or pure black, book Studio A. If you want the background in the brand's colour, several looks in a day, or dialogue recorded in the room, book Studio B. If you want both, they are in the same building and can run on the same day.
How big is the cove, and how high is the ceiling?
We have not published those measurements and we would rather send you the real ones than an estimate. Tell us which room you are considering and what you need to fit, and we will confirm the exact cove dimensions and ceiling height by email before you book.
Can the cyclorama be lit a colour, or painted?
Studio B's cyclorama is colour-washable, so it takes a colour wash or a gel and gives several distinct looks in one day. Studio A's infinity cove is white.
Can I use a cove for green screen?
Studio A is the room used for green screen work. We have not published an in-house kit list, so tell us when you enquire whether you need the screen supplied and we will confirm what is on site and what to bring.
Are cove lights included in the room rate?
No — in every room but the DJ room, lights are charged separately from the room rate. Please enquire about our lights and we will quote for what your shoot needs, whether that is a flat even wash on the cove or a hard single source.
