Accessibility Statement

1What we are aiming for

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA.

This has not been assessed by an external auditor. The statement below describes work done and checked by the team that built the site, and it is our own account rather than a certification.

2What we have done

The whole site can be operated by keyboard alone, and every interactive element shows a visible focus indicator so you can see where you are.

A skip link at the top of each page lets you jump straight past the navigation to the main content.

Pages use semantic HTML landmarks and a logical heading order, so screen-reader users can navigate by region and by heading rather than reading everything in sequence.

All images that carry meaning have alternative text.

The site respects the prefers-reduced-motion setting. If you have reduced motion enabled in your operating system, the animated background is disabled entirely rather than merely slowed down.

Colour contrast has been checked against the WCAG AA thresholds for text and interface elements.

Nothing on the site requires you to perceive or track motion in order to use it. No content depends on hover, drag or a gesture with no simple alternative.

3Known limitations

The animated light field behind the site is decorative. It is hidden from assistive technology, so screen-reader users will not be told it is there — nothing is lost, because it carries no information.

Some client photography is presented decoratively rather than as content. Where an image exists to set a mood rather than to tell you something, it is marked as decorative and skipped by screen readers.

Booking is handled by Acuity Scheduling, a third-party platform. We do not control its interface or its accessibility. If you have difficulty completing a booking there, email or call us and we will take the booking directly.

We have not tested every page against every combination of browser and assistive technology. If you hit something we have missed, please tell us — that is genuinely the fastest way for it to get fixed.

4Access to the building

This statement is about the website. We have not yet documented the physical accessibility of the studios — step-free routes, door widths, lift access, accessible toilets, parking close to the entrance.

Rather than guess, we would rather you asked. Email ScopeMediaStudios@gmail.com and tell us what you need, and we will give you an accurate answer about the specific room and route before you book.

5Telling us about a problem

If any part of this site is difficult or impossible for you to use, email ScopeMediaStudios@gmail.com. Tell us the page and what happened, and include the browser or assistive technology you were using if you can — it makes the problem much quicker to trace.

We will reply and tell you what we can fix and when. If you need information from the site in another format in the meantime, ask and we will send it.
