The lookbook, moving.

A fashion film is the lookbook with the stillness taken out: the walk, the turn, the fabric catching the light for two seconds longer than a photograph allows. Studio A gives the campaign its seamless white at scale, Studio B gives each look a different colour wash with a make-up zone beside the set, and both black out so the light on the last look is the light on the first.

How it works

  1. 01Send the looks and the treatmentHow many looks, how many models and whether the film is white, colour or black decides between Studio A, Studio B and both. The dressing and prep room and the client lounge come with either booking.
  2. 02Book the blockStudio A is £160 for two hours, £320 for a half day and £620 for a full day; Studio B is £120, £220 and £420. Set-up, styling changes and pack-down sit inside the booked time, so count the changes when you choose the block.
  3. 03Quote the lightsLights are charged separately from the room rate in both studios — please enquire about our lights and we will quote for the look, whether that is a flat even wash on the cove or a single hard source for the fabric.
  4. 04Take the stills from the same set-upThe cove that holds the motion holds the lookbook frames too, so shoot them between takes rather than booking a second day. Studio B's edit and playback area is there to check one against the other.

Straight answers

What does fashion film studio hire london cost at Scope?
Studio A starts at £160. Studio B starts at £120. Set-up and pack-down are inside your booked time.
Which room suits a fashion film?
Studio A when the film wants seamless white at scale or a long walk to camera: 1,200 sq ft, a white drive-in infinity cove and full blackout curtains. Studio B when each look wants its own colour — its cyclorama is colour-washable, it blacks out, and the make-up and styling zones are in the room. They are in the same building, so a campaign that needs both runs on one day.
Is there somewhere for hair, make-up and styling on a fashion shoot?
Yes. Studio B has make-up and styling zones in the room, and a dressing and prep room, a client lounge and a kitchen are in the building in the building, so the models and the rail are not on the edge of the set.
Can we shoot a fashion film lit from black?
Yes. Studio A has full blackout curtains and Studio B is blackout capable, so the daylight goes and the only light on the garment is the light you rigged. Lights are charged separately — please enquire about our lights.
Can we record sound or run music playback for a fashion film?
Studio B is the sound-treated room, built as a room within a room, so a spoken piece or a model's line comes back usable as recorded. Studio A is not sound treated. We have not published an in-house kit list, so bring your own playback and tell us what else you need when you enquire.
How does a fashion shoot load in?
Parking is on site in the yard in front of the unit, and load-in to Studio A is at ground level through the roller door from the yard, which matters when the rail is long and the flats are tall.
