Shoot the vertical first. Crop the rest.

A social shoot is a volume job: many posts, several looks and a talent who is only there until four. The Podcast Room is camera-ready and treated at a flat £40 an hour, Studio B is a colour-washable cove that changes the look without changing the set, and Studio A has the floor for the day that wants a bigger set. Frame for 9:16 first and work outwards, because a vertical cut from a wide frame throws most of the picture away.

Straight answers

What does social media agency studio hire london cost at Scope?
Podcast Room starts at £40. Studio B starts at £120. Studio A starts at £160. Set-up and pack-down are inside your booked time.
Why should a social agency shoot vertical first?
Because a 9:16 cut from a 16:9 frame throws most of the picture away, while taking the wider frame as a second take from the same set-up costs minutes. Frame for 9:16 first, keep the action away from the edges where interface elements sit, and check each platform's current spec rather than a remembered one.
How many looks can a batch day produce?
As many as the time allows. Studio B's cove is colour-washable, so a new look is a wash or a gel rather than a new set, and the adjustable backdrop system adds options. What decides the count is the changes — styling, props, talent — and set-up and pack-down sit inside the booked time, so plan against the block rather than against a number someone else achieved.
Can we run several creators through one booking?
Yes, inside the booked time. Plan the order by look rather than by person, brief each creator on the frame before they arrive and have releases ready. The dressing and prep room and the lounge hold the next person while the set is lit. Minors must be supervised throughout.
Can we record clean audio for talking-head and podcast formats?
Yes. Studio B is sound treated as a room within a room, and the Podcast Room is acoustically treated with professional microphones and audio interfaces in the room. Studio A is not sound treated, so keep dialogue out of it.
Where do we review and send files on the day?
There is high-speed Wi-Fi throughout the building, Studio B has an edit and playback area, and the Workshop has ten iMac workstations if an edit needs seats. We have not published connection speeds or the iMacs' specification, so tell us the volume of footage and the platform when you enquire.
Do paid-partnership and ad disclosure rules affect the shoot?
They affect the finished post, not the room. In the UK, ads must be clearly identifiable as ads, and the rules on disclosure for creators and brands change; the ASA and the CAP Code are where to check the current text. Plan the disclosure at the brief so it is built into the content rather than added in the edit, and check the current CAP guidance for where and how it must appear.

How it works

  1. 01Write the shot list by set-upGroup posts by background and light, then take each look in 9:16 and in the wider frames before anything moves. Check each platform's current spec for its delivery rather than working from last year's brief.
  2. 02Book by the hour or the blockThe Podcast Room is a flat £40 an hour, so a single sit-down does not have to buy a half day. Studio B is £120 for two hours, £220 for a half day and £420 for a full day. Set-up, look changes and pack-down sit inside the booked time, so count the changes.
  3. 03Bring the creatorsThe dressing and prep room, the kitchen and the client lounge are in the building, and Studio B has make-up and styling zones. Minors must be supervised throughout.
  4. 04Quote the lights and the restLights are charged separately in every room but the DJ room — please enquire about our lights and we will quote for what your shoot needs. If the day also needs crew, a stylist, hair and make-up, kit hire or casting of creators, the team can source and manage them and quote for them; none of it is priced on this site.

In the building with every booking

  • Kitchen
  • Dressing and prep room
  • Client lounge
  • High-speed Wi-Fi
  • Parking

In every room but one, lights are charged separately from the room rate, so please enquire about our lights and we will quote for what your shoot needs. The exception is the DJ room, where the professional film lighting is rigged in the room and included in the rate.

Anything not listed — ceiling heights, cove dimensions, power, capacities — is on request rather than guessed at. Ask us and you will get an exact answer.
