Studio B's cyclorama washed in saturated purple light with two large para softboxes and black ceiling flags

Hire · SE5 9HW, South London · from £80 · open 7 days

The product turns. The background does not.

Product video is the stills job with a time axis: the same seamless white, the same unmoving light, but now the product rotates, the lid opens and every reflection has to behave for ten seconds rather than one. Studio B gives it colour and clean sound for the presenter; Studio A gives it scale and a drive-in cove; and the music studio records the voiceover in the same building.

How it works

  1. 01Send the SKU list and the largest itemHow many products, how big the biggest one is and whether the cut needs white, colour or both. Anything on wheels or a pallet goes to Studio A; colour and presenters go to Studio B.
  2. 02Book the blockStudio B is £120 for two hours, £220 for a half day and £420 for a full day; Studio A is £160, £320 and £620. Set-up, product changes and pack-down sit inside the booked time.
  3. 03Kill the reflectionsBoth rooms black out — Studio A with full blackout curtains, Studio B as a blackout-capable room — so the only thing reflected in a glossy surface is the light you placed. Lights are charged separately — please enquire about our lights.
  4. 04Record the voiceoverThe music studio's treated vocal booth takes the script dry or with an engineer, the same day. Studio B also records a presenter in the open room, because it is built as a room within a room.

Straight answers

What does product video studio london cost at Scope?
Studio B starts at £120. Studio A starts at £160. Music Studio starts at £80. Set-up and pack-down are inside your booked time.
Which studio is best for product video?
Studio B for most of it: a colour-washable cyclorama for the brand colour, with Studio A's white cove when the run wants seamless white, an adjustable backdrop system, blackout and sound treatment for the presenter. Studio A when the product is large or arrives on wheels — 1,200 sq ft, a white drive-in cove and full blackout curtains.
Can we shoot product video on seamless white and on colour in one day?
Yes. Studio B's cyclorama washes to colour and Studio A's cove is white; both are in the same building and can be booked on the same day, so the e-commerce run and the campaign cut do not need two locations.
Can we control reflections on glossy or metallic products?
Both studios black out, so no window or daylight lands in the surface and the only reflection is the light you rigged. Lights are charged separately from the room rate — please enquire about our lights and tell us the product is reflective so the quote covers diffusion.
Can we record the voiceover for a product video on site?
Yes. The music studio has a treated vocal booth with a large-diaphragm condenser, bookable dry from £80 for a half day or with an engineer at £140 a half day, so the script is read while the floor is still shooting.
Is a shooting table, turntable or product kit included?
We have not published an in-house kit list, so plan to bring your own turntable, table and rigging and tell us what is coming when you enquire; we will confirm what is on site in writing.

Anything not listed — ceiling heights, cove dimensions, power, capacities — is on request rather than guessed at. Ask us and you will get an exact answer.
