One take, filmed and recorded.

A live session is a promise to the audience that the band played it once and that is what you are hearing. It needs a room quiet enough to record in and good enough to look at. Studio B is built as a room within a room with a cove that takes colour; the music studio tracks the engineered version in the same building; and the DJ room films a set with the lighting already rigged.

Straight answers

What does live session video studio london cost at Scope?
Studio B starts at £120. Music Studio starts at £80. DJ Room starts at £300. Set-up and pack-down are inside your booked time.
Which room is best for filming a live music session?
Studio B. It is built as a room within a room and sound treated, it blacks out, and its cyclorama washes to colour, so the performance is both recorded clean and lit the way you want. Studio A is not sound treated, which is why it is not on this page.
Can we record the live session audio properly as well as film it?
In Studio B, yes — the room is sound treated, and you bring the capture chain. For a tracked or engineered version, the music studio has a treated vocal booth, a large-diaphragm condenser and nearfield monitors, dry from £80 for a half day or with an engineer at £140 a half day.
Can a DJ set be filmed as a live session?
Yes, in the DJ room: a hand-built concrete booth, two CDJ-3000X players and a DJM-A9, with professional film lighting rigged and included. It is £75 an hour with a four-hour minimum, booked separately from the studios and not part of a whole-building buyout. Cameras are not included.
Do you supply backline, a PA or cameras for a live session?
No in-house kit list is published for those, so plan to bring them, and tell us what is coming when you enquire so we can confirm what is on site. Lights are charged separately in Studio B and the music studio — please enquire about our lights.
Can a live session be streamed as it happens?
There is high-speed Wi-Fi throughout the building, but we have not published measured connection speeds, so email us the platform and bitrate and we will confirm in writing whether the connection supports it before you book. You bring the encoder.
