Scope is more than room hire. The team can source and manage what a shoot needs and run productions end to end, from a one-room portrait session to full commercial, music video and branded-content productions. That includes productions with budgets of £100,000 and more. It is a 4,000 sq ft production building in Camberwell, and it is a small stage rather than a sound stage — this page says which jobs that suits.

Who books it

The production desk

The team can source and manage what a shoot needs and run productions end to end, from a one-room portrait session to full commercial, music video and branded-content productions. That includes productions with budgets of £100,000 and more.

What the team can source or manage for a job:

  • crew (producers, production managers, directors of photography, camera operators and assistants, gaffers, sparks, grips, sound recordists, DITs, hair and make-up, stylists, art department, runners)
  • camera, lighting, grip and sound kit hire
  • set design and builds, and props
  • talent and casting
  • locations beyond Scope
  • catering and transport
  • insurance guidance
  • post-production: edit, grade, sound mix and VFX

None of this is priced on the site. The team quotes it, and nothing is assumed to be included in a room booking.

Describe the job in an enquiry or to the Ask Scope desk and the team replies with a quote by email. Send an enquiry.

In every room but one, lights are charged separately from the room rate, so please enquire about our lights and we will quote for what your shoot needs. The exception is the DJ room, where the professional film lighting is rigged in the room and included in the rate.

Before you book

Does Scope work with agencies and production companies?
Yes. The rooms are hired by the day to anyone, and the team also runs the production side for trade buyers. The team can source and manage what a shoot needs and run productions end to end, from a one-room portrait session to full commercial, music video and branded-content productions. That includes productions with budgets of £100,000 and more.
What does a trade booking cost?
The rooms are on the rate card: Studio A is £160 for two hours, £320 for a half day and £620 for a full day; Studio B is £120, £220 and £420; the podcast room is a flat £40 an hour. The whole building is from £1,500 per day, excluding the DJ room. None of this is priced on the site. The team quotes it, and nothing is assumed to be included in a room booking.
What can the production desk source?
crew (producers, production managers, directors of photography, camera operators and assistants, gaffers, sparks, grips, sound recordists, DITs, hair and make-up, stylists, art department, runners); camera, lighting, grip and sound kit hire; set design and builds, and props; talent and casting; locations beyond Scope; catering and transport; insurance guidance; post-production: edit, grade, sound mix and VFX. Describe the job in an enquiry or to the Ask Scope desk and the team replies with a quote by email.
Can a client or brand have a closed set?
Yes — the whole-building buyout is from £1,500 per day and covers Studio A, Studio B, Podcast room, Music studio, Workshop room, with nobody else on site. The DJ room sits outside it and is booked separately.
Is Scope a broadcast studio?
No. It is a small film and video stage: a drive-in cove studio that blacks out, a sound-treated room within a room, a vocal booth, a podcast room and a workshop that works as a production office. It is not a sound stage, has no lighting grid and is not a broadcast gallery, and the team will say so before you book if the job needs one.
Are lights and kit included?
Lights are charged separately in every room but the DJ room, where the film lighting is rigged and included — please enquire about our lights. No in-house kit list is published, so tell the team what you are bringing and what you want supplied and it will be confirmed in writing.

Send the brief.

Tell the team the job, the date and the deliverables, and what you want sourced. You get a quote by email — and, if it is the honest answer, that Scope is not the right size.
