UGG's First Collaboration Is With JW Anderson, Fronted by Dev Hynes

The UGG x JW Anderson Loafer (£280) and Loafer Boot (£380) went on sale on Thursday 15 October, with a campaign set around the home, fronted by Dev Hynes.

UGG's first collaboration is with JW Anderson, and it launched on Thursday 15 October. The unisex collection has two styles: the Loafer at £280 and the Loafer Boot at £380, in Chestnut, Khaki and Orange, the colourways chosen by Jonathan Anderson. TheIndustry.fashion lists UGG.com, JWAnderson.com, selected UGG and JW Anderson stores, Selfridges, The Webster and Lane Crawford as stockists.

Hypebae reports that the pair began from UGG's Classic Boot and Tasman, reworked through JW Anderson's approach: the familiar softness of UGG with the details of a penny loafer, among them rounded toes, box-stitching and UGG's cushioning. Anderson said he was interested in seeing something so familiar through the lens of JW Anderson.

The campaign is fronted by the musician and producer Dev Hynes, known as Blood Orange, in a series of scenes set around the home: everyday routines, from getting dressed to moving between rooms, styled by Anderson himself.

A campaign built around a home is a set-dressing brief before it is a lighting one: what is on the shelf, what is on the floor, where the window is.
