Jamie T Takes the Number 1 Album With Ghosts (100 Days Of Morning); Chase & Status Are Second Again
The Official Albums Chart dated 16 October has Jamie T's Ghosts (100 Days Of Morning) at Number 1 and Chase & Status's Generic Everything at Number 2.
Jamie T's 'Ghosts (100 Days Of Morning)' is Number 1 on the Official Albums Chart dated 16 to 22 October, according to the Official Charts page, with Chase & Status's 'Generic Everything' at Number 2 and Olivia Rodrigo at Number 3. Both of the top two are new entries, in their first week on the chart.
It is Jamie T's second Number 1 album in a row, following 2022's 'The Theory Of Whatever', Official Charts said in its midweek report. For Chase & Status it is another Number 2: Official Charts noted that their previous two albums had also peaked at Number 2, and asked whether they could break that run this time.
How the race looked midweek
Music Week reported the Official Charts Company's opening midweek flash on Monday 12 October, with Jamie T on 11,531 sales and Chase & Status on 8,571. Midweek figures are provisional, and the Official Charts page we read gives positions only, so we cannot say what the final first-week totals were.
Radio X lists Jamie T at Olympia in December, on the 11th and 12th. Our guide to planning a single or album release content day covers how to sequence the stills, performance clips and vertical teasers around a release like this one in a single booking.
