Snow Patrol Play Eyes Open in Full at the Royal Albert Hall, Twenty Years On

Snow Patrol are at the Royal Albert Hall on Monday 21, Tuesday 22 and Thursday 24 September 2026, each show at 6.30pm, playing their 2006 album Eyes Open from start to finish. Time Out lists the three dates among the best London gigs of September.

The run began as two nights. When the band announced the anniversary shows in July, the dates were 21 and 22 September; the Thursday was added later. Their statement at the time set out the format: 'We will be playing the album in order in its entirety for the first time ever, and afterwards some more hits from across the years and maybe even a deep cut or two.'

Why Eyes Open

Official Charts says Eyes Open 'became the UK's Official biggest album of that year', 2006, and has named it 'the first-ever recipient of Official Charts' brand-new Hall of Fame Award'. It is the record that, in its words, 'gave the world Chasing Cars'. A 20th Anniversary Edition of the album came out on Friday 24 July 2026, and ticket presales for the London shows were tied to pre-orders of the reissue through the band's UK web store.

The Kylie single

The anniversary comes with a new song. 'These Alarms' pairs Snow Patrol with Kylie Minogue, and Gary Lightbody told Official Charts that it was written with her in mind: 'I wrote the song for her, it was always our intention that she would be on it.' When she recorded her part, he said, 'it felt finished for the first time. It was always missing her.' He also said: 'I think I've written 15 songs for Kylie over the years, and she never got any of them.'

The Royal Albert Hall shows are the first time the album has been performed as a sequence, so setlist searches will settle only once the first show, on 21 September, is over. This piece will be updated if the band or a major outlet reports what followed the album.
