Disney's Hercules Plays Its Last Show at Drury Lane on Saturday

Disney's Hercules closes at Theatre Royal Drury Lane on Saturday 5 September, with a 2.30pm matinee and a 7.30pm final performance. Five shows remain in total: today's matinee and evening, tomorrow evening, and Saturday's two.

It has held one of the largest theatres in the West End for about fifteen months — previews from 6 June 2025, opening night on 24 June. Casey Nicholaw directed and choreographed, with music and lyrics by Alan Menken and David Zippel, a new book by Robert Horn and Kwame Kwei-Armah, and co-choreography by Tanisha Scott. Luke Brady plays Hercules, Mae Ann Jorolan is Meg, Trevor Dion Nicholas is Phil and Stephen Carlile is Hades, with five Muses. It runs 2 hours 10 minutes including a 20-minute interval, recommended for ages 6 and up, with no under-4s admitted.

Closing-week pricing is its own genre: the seats left on Saturday night start at £150.

That is not a figure of speech. LW Theatres' own booking data puts remaining seats at £115–£170 for today, £125–£180 for tomorrow and £150–£205 for Saturday. The £25 and £29.50 figures still sitting on the page do not reflect what is actually left, and the family ticket packages expired on 1 September.

One detail being repeated widely is wrong, and it matters if you are planning a Drury Lane trip. Several round-ups say Sting's The Last Ship takes over. It does not, at least not next: the venue's own listings put Noël Coward's Still Life in from Tuesday 8 September to Saturday 12 September, ten performances. The Last Ship follows from 22 September to 3 October, with Sting as Jackie White and Shaggy playing the Wallsend Ferryman on the first two nights only, Lejaun Sheppard taking the role from 24 September.
